Toolkit

The Vimecon laser catheter is connected to the laser device via a "Plug'n Play" connector. It is operated via touch-screen. The proprietary software is very user friendly and operates through a touch-sensitive user interface. The laser treatment data are displayed on the screen during the operation. The handle of the catheter sheath has an LED display, which signals the readiness and standby modes.

The laser concept also contains the point catheter, the lasso catheter and C-laser catheter. This way, if required, it is possible to change the laser catheter during the procedure without any problem while continuing to use the proven and comprehensively usable Vimecon system.

The C-Laser with adjustable curvature by Vimecon allows the creation of linear to C-shaped lesions for eliminating pulse conductors with a length of 3 to 5 cm. This means that LASM and PVI are now possible with a single tool. Atrial fibrillation, which is triggered via the pulmonary veins, can therefore be treated by isolating individual or several pulmonary veins.

The Lasso Laser by Vimecon allows the creation of circular lesions for the elimination of pulse conductors with a circumference of 6 to 8 cm. The lasso's circumference can be adjusted via the handle so that a catheter can be adapted to virtually any anatomical shape of pulmonary veins. Atrial fibrillation, which is triggered via the pulmonary veins, can therefore be treated by isolating individual pulmonary veins in a circular manner.

The Point Laser by Vimecon allows the creation of point-shaped ablations, whose depth and extension can be controlled via the adjustable laser power and ablation time. The point-shaped line-up of lesions allows the creation of even the most complex ablation contours.
